175. Zombeavers (2014)

This week, we review Zombeavers (2014), Jordan Rubin's gleefully ridiculous horror-comedy creature feature about toxic waste, undead rodents, and a college getaway gone very wrong. Rachel Melvin, Cortney Palm, and Lexi Atkins star as three sorority sisters whose relaxing weekend at a remote riverside cabin turns into a bloody fight for survival, with Hutch Dano, Jake Weary, and Peter Gilroy as the boyfriends who crash the party. After a barrel of toxic waste drifts downstream and into a beaver dam, the local wildlife comes back hungry, and every bite spreads the infection. The result is a B-movie splatterfest that raises intriguing questions about friendship, betrayal, and whether nature is finally fighting back.
