171. Terrifier (2016)

This week, we review Terrifier (2016), Damien Leone's blood-soaked slasher that revives old-school practical-effects horror with a nasty sense of humor. David Howard Thornton stars as Art the Clown in a story that explores what happens when pure, silent evil picks two ordinary women as its Halloween night prey. With Jenna Kanell and Catherine Corcoran fighting to survive till dawn, this film raises intriguing questions about just how far a horror movie can push gore before it stops being fun and starts being a genuine gut-punch.

Is Art the Clown the scariest silent villain since Michael Myers, or just a mime with a body count? Listen on to find out!
